Hello my pretties. Things have gotten rather hectic and I must sadly announce that I'm pushing back the date of the reopening to the 23rd. So stay hopeful and I'll update then :)

Hello all. Grand Reopening of WCAM is scheduled for the 20th. So far there are a few students who are once again active. If you'll notice under Bella has a drop down box with a link to Update Blyss. Anything you want to be on the next cover or anything that makes for a juicy story. Well I'll update once more once the reopening takes place. Stay timeless.

Saying Goodbye [[Karly]] « Thread Started on Jul 29, 2009, 4:46am »
Warren paced on the blackened soil of the Dragon Pit. This place that held so many memories would soon hold another. One more painful and facetious than he dared imagined. By now he knew that his beloved had received his letter, a request to meet him here. A place that she knew through him. The dragon to his left snarled feeling his impatience and startling him out of his flashback. Unlike that previous meeting this one would not be as pleasant.
He hadn't seen Karly since the fateful day and his sister had made it perfectly clear that this is how it would be. His life, or better phrased after life, had made him selfish, true, but the danger he was putting his soul in was far to great. Today, mainly due to his sister, he was saying goodbye to the only thing that had ever made him happy. He was breaking up with her, though the word was not strong enough for what the severing of their relationship would be. He loved her truly and deeply, she had revived him from his state of death and lest she be killed as well he would have to leave her.
He hadn't told Dante yet knowing that her pleasure at the situation would only have put him more ill at ease. Running his hand through his hair he retreated from the dragon, who by every passing moment began to understand and hate the situation even more. He said nothing, communication was not an option and his blue eyes could do nothing but stare in regret and remorse.
There was unease in the pit but he knew that she would be safe here. They would protect her from anything that could harm her after he left her side. He would hide in the shadows from then on close but at a distance. He knew that for him it would be torture to see her and hear her but not be there. Still any more distance was more than he could handle and any less put her in danger. The dragons turned feeling the presence of another joining the pit. He should greet her but his heart kept him in the shadows a moment longer. He wanted to watch her savor her image knowing it would be a while before he could lay eyes on her again.
The words that he had rehearsed danced through his head as he waited. They mocked him and his pain their cruelty only stabbing more deeply at his heart. They were words that his sister, and even he, had uttered at a moments notice when one human clung to desperately to them. Never would they be more facetious than at the moment they left his lips and entered her ears and yet this was the only time they mattered. This was the only time he needed them to be seen as the truth.
He closed his eyes making one last futile attempt to find another solution that would keep them both together and safe. They remained closed as the footsteps approached the enclosure. It was time to face the music. Time enough to say what needed to be said.
Without looking toward her he spoke from the shadows. "I'm glad you came." he uttered. Let the lying begin.
Karly was out of the hospital wing within a matter of hours. The last attack that she had endured, yet another unsuccessful attempt to take her life, had left her both the weakest and agonizing she had ever been. The pain coursing through her body was like nothing she had ever experienced - she had now gone through a complete metamorphosis from human to something cursed with the spirit from the shifting wolf, and after that, the sensation of dying, while she still lay there conscious.
And yet.. aside from the agonizing pain, her newest transformation had a sweet, euphoric effect as well. Instead of rejecting the venom, her body had accepted it and adapted to it. Now not only was she wolf, she was also undead.. the outcome of this blending of the species inside her left her to be some strange sort of hybrid, something no one in documented history had ever experienced. Instead of being afraid, like her old self would have been, she was rather excited to test her new body and power. Yes... her mind had not escaped some change, too.
By now, she was the talk of the whole school. Her appearance had changed - there was not a flaw to be found anywhere on her body. Her skin, when touched, felt like electric fire, even emanated a very faint, bluish glow. Her eyes, the color of quicksilver. She was now something barely recognizable of her old self, however she barely looked different at all. It made sense not even to her, but she accepted it easily. However, not everyone seemed to.. Warren had even been avoiding her. The joy and excitement in her thrilling silvery eyes was apparent, then, as she opened a letter he penned, directing her to meet him at a spot they called their own.
Very softly, with excruciating care, she petted her owl Adonis and attached the same letter to his leg - a reply was written on the back, an affirmative to his inquiry. Adonis chirped, obviously wary of her now but simply too scared to squawk or fly until she let him out the window. Readying herself, she was prepared to leave in very little time at all, eager to finally see the face of her love again. She had missed him greatly, and often wondered why he never visited her while she was in the hospital wing, but these worries were of course pushed aside.
As she finally reached the hidden dragon enclosure, she realized that if she still needed a heartbeat, it would have sped up as her breathing now increased. A sudden anxiety clutched at her, and no matter how desperately she tried to shake it off, it seemed permanently attached. 'Silly,' she told herself. 'Nothing at all to worry about.' Oh, how she hoped that her words were true.
If she had been mortal, such as the first time she had been here, Warren would have been completely invisible to her as he stood there in the shadows. As it were, upon entering the small enclosure, she could see him as perfectly as if the sun was shining directly on him. Immediately, the earlier felt anxiety squeezed at her heart. What was wrong with this situation? Something didn't feel right...
"I'm glad you called for me," she responded, doing her best to keep her voice even. "I've missed you so much, Warren... is everything alright?"
